Bilingual Customer Service Representative (6-Month Contract)

Location: Laval, Quebec (100% On-Site)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ( hour lunch)

Position Summary

You will process and track orders received via phone, fax, EDI, or mail, and communicate shipment and delivery schedules to customers by acting as a liaison with internal departments. You'll also handle inquiries about shipments, shortages, overages, quality issues, late shipments, and more.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately enter orders into JDE (pricing, terms, product, quantities, ship-to/sold-to, special instructions) and complete necessary paperwork.
Maintain sales orders and back orders with up-to-date, accurate ship dates and reason codes for changes.
Participate in the Customer Service team to meet service standards.
Ensure SOX compliance: verify and file required documents. Maintain customer records (pricing, payment/delivery terms, control sheets, sample requests, etc.).
Keep customers proactively informed of order status changes by coordinating with internal supply chain teams.
Stay updated on current and future product knowledge.
Coordinate truck deliveries with the Traffic department at specific locations.
Handle product returns: coordinate approvals, process returns/invoice adjustments, enter reason codes in JDE, and complete required forms.
Maintain daily communication with Sales Representatives on pricing, order discrepancies, and customer updates.
Participate in inventory counts when required.
Keep price books current; implement price increases in the invoicing system as assigned.
Make outgoing calls to existing and prospective customers to maximize weekly orders, report competitor activities to Sales, and handle sample requests.

Requirements

Bilingual in French and English

Minimum 3 years of customer service experience with product order management (preferably in manufacturing)

Post-secondary education in business management or related field preferred

Experience with JDE or mainline ERPs like SAP
