Our client is one of north America's most respected banks and one of the largest financial institutions in the world with a presence in over 25 countries. They offer a wide range of wealth management, insurance and commercial and personal banking services.

They are seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA to join them on a 6-month contract.

Description of the role:

Lead the planning, design, and implementation of TDE with EKM on designated SQL Server databases, adhering to security best practices and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with multiple business teams (eg, Development, QA, Infrastructure, Security) to understand requirements, define testing strategies, and manage the impact of encryption on applications and services.
Assess, analyse, and document potential performance implications of TDE implementation and recommend mitigation strategies.
Work with Infrastructure teams to configure EKM provider and integrate with relevant security systems.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for encryption implementation, including performance testing, application functionality testing, and disaster recovery scenarios.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or performance bottlenecks related to TDE and EKM during and after implementation.
Document all encryption processes, configurations, and best practices, ensuring clear knowledge transfer to the internal team upon project completion.
Provide clear and concise communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, and impact.
Some out-of-hours/weekend work will be required.
