Finance Analyst

Fnality is looking for a finance professional to join our dynamic, remote-first team as a Finance Analyst for 6 months covering maternity leave and reporting to the CFO. The finance team works across three core disciplines: financial controllership, corporate development, and regulatory finance. This role will work across all three those areas expertise for project delivery, the improvements of controls, financial recordkeeping, investor relations, regulatory compliance, and reporting. This role will suit a hands-on finance professional with strong commercial orientation. The role has no direct reports.

You will need to take accountability for:

We are looking for a hands-on accountant who can hit the ground running across various finance initiatives and deliverables. Some examples are:

Ensure optimal use of finance tools (e.g. Xero, NetSuite, PayHawk, Confluence, Ledgy, SharePoint, etc).
Help with the implementation of new finance tools (from vendor management to internal roll-out) to improve reporting and risk management - this included a possible upgrade from Xero
Monitor expense and travel and entertainment related approvals and controls
Help with the preparation of the annual budget and business plan
Be part of the team conducting the interim and final audit including improving financial reporting templates used for the IFRS reporting and gathering information for the auditors
Improve the record keeping and shared file repositories with the finance team
Ensure cap table and share registers are up to date
Support the preparation of financial information and reports for investor due diligence
Provide finance support for client onboarding and management
Provide finance support to vendor management including tracing invoices back to contract, contract deliverables, and business support on vendor negotiations and contracting

Required competencies:

Required skills and experience

Qualified accountant or CIMA
Self-starter who is able to integrate within a team within a remote environment

Start-up experience and expertise a plus
Financial Services experience and expertise a plus
Experience in expanding internationally or working abroad especially to Europe and the USA

FnalityGlobal Payments

We are building a network of new payment systems that will enable tokenised, peer-to-peer markets.

Fnality Global Payments (FnGP) will comprise a series of national systems, each regulated in its home jurisdiction. We call each of these a Fnality Payment System (FnPS).

In each payment system, a Fnality settlement asset will act as the settlement/payment asset for any Payment (P), Delivery v, Payment (DvP) or payment vs. payment (PvP) need.

FnGP are underpinned by Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). The nature of DLT is such that it enables FnGP to:

Operate a true peer-to-peer market
Allow for immediate settlement
Interoperate across business platforms and jurisdictions

Reduced operational risk
Efficient liquidity management

Eligibility

This role is a UK based role and you must be eligible to work in the UK. Please note we cannot sponsor visas for this role.

Please note that whilst we are a remote-first organisation, it is mandatory to attend the office in London one day per quarter, for our company onsite.
