Job Opportunity - Interim Finance Business Analyst - Fully Remote!

One of my local Government clients are currently on the lookout for a Finance Business Analyst to join their team on a contract which will likely run until the end of March 2026.

Finance Business Analyst

Contract Length: 6 Months +

Pay Rate: DOE

Days: X5 p/w preference (may be able to consider part time).

Start Date: August

Fully Remote

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the Council's budget setting process, including council tax setting and working with the Town & Parish Councils and the Police to collate the annual precepts.
Assessing the Council's overall budget envelope and control of service budget totals to ensure a balanced budget position.
Monitoring and forecasting of corporate grant funding, collection fund monitoring.
Preparing reports and presentations to senior managers and cabinet.
Proactively horizon scanning for new funding, and other, announcements that have the potential to impact on the Council's finances.
There will be no direct line management experiences.

Successful candidates will have previous local authority specific experience doing the above. Candidates will ideally be fully qualified however the client is happy to consider candidates who are qualified by experience if they are specialised in council tax setting/collection fund within a corporate finance role.
