We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a contract position inside IR35 to support our finance team during a period of transition and growth. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with statutory obligations and providing strategic insights to senior leadership.

This is a hybrid role between remote and client's offices in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

This is an urgent role so suitable candidates must be available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the month-end and year-end close process
Prepare accurate financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, tax filings, and audit requirements
Partner with business units to drive financial performance and efficiency
Manage and oversee a small finance team (if applicable)
Provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making

Requirements

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance role
Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP/IFRS)
Excellent Excel and financial systems skills (eg, SAP, Oracle, Netsuite - specify as relevant)
Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
