Interim Head of Compliance - FCA Regulated Firm (SMF16/17)

6-12 Month Contract | London | Inside IR35 | Immediate Start

A UK-regulated financial services firm is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Compliance to step into a key leadership role (SMF16/SMF17) on an initial 6-12 month contract.

You will be responsible for overseeing the compliance framework, regulatory reporting, and engagement with the FCA, while supporting the firm through a period of transformation and strategic realignment.

Key experience required:

Recent SMF16 and/or SMF17 approval in an FCA-regulated environment
Strong understanding of capital markets, brokerage, or trading platforms
Hands-on leadership of compliance monitoring, governance, and advisory functions
Proven ability to operate at ExCo/Board level and liaise with regulators

Start: ASAP
Location: London-based firm, hybrid working
Rate: Competitive, via umbrella or Ltd company (Inside IR35)
