We are seeking an experienced Interim Group Accountant (home based) to join a finance team on a short-term basis. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, technically strong accountant with significant post-qualification experience, who can take immediate ownership of core accounting processes during a critical reporting period.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage cost centre accounting and provide detailed variance analysis and commentary.
Prepare and post key balance sheet entries, particularly related to:
- Inter company loans
- Interest accruals
- Bank reconciliations
Lead and execute the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Support internal reporting requirements, including management accounts and board packs.
Reconcile key accounts and ensure balance sheet integrity.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve reporting processes and data accuracy.
Assist in audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as needed.

Key Requirements:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with extensive post-qualification experience.
Proven experience in group accounting and strong understanding of financial controls.
Solid experience in month-end close and financial reporting in a complex or multi-entity environment.
Strong balance sheet knowledge, especially in relation to loans, interest, and intercompany transactions.
Advanced Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets efficiently.
Experience with Oracle Fusion and Oracle FCCS is highly advantageous.
Ability to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Available immediately or on short notice (max. one week).

Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of November
Rate: £400-£500 per day
IR35: Inside IR35 via umbrella
