Job Title: Technical Systems Analyst - SQL
Location: Leeds / Hybrid
Rate: Market rate (Outside IR35)
Length: 6 months initially
Fruition is seeking a contract Technical Systems Analyst with strong SQL expertise to deliver enhancements across a business-critical platform. This role focuses on analysing and improving legacy systems while supporting the transition towards cloud-based solutions.
Technical Systems Analyst Responsibilities:
- Analyse existing data processes and platform infrastructure
- Collaborate with Product Owner and Ops teams to refine and prioritise backlog
- Translate operational requirements into clear, detailed technical specifications
- Investigate and resolve system performance issues, such as optimising SQL stored procedures
- Maintain and update technical documentation throughout the lifecycle
- Evaluate root causes of issues and scope out potential solutions for engineering teams
Technical Systems Analyst Requirements:
- Proven experience in Technical BA or Systems Analyst roles within data-intensive environments
- Advanced SQL skills with a strong understanding of stored procedures and database performance tuning
- Experience reviewing and modernising technical documentation
- Familiarity with Microsoft-based environments; exposure to legacy systems will be beneficial
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate effectively with engineering and operations teams
- Experience working on cloud migration or platform improvement projects is highly beneficial
