Our manufacturing client in New Hudson MI needs a Purchasing Associate II for a year long contract.
Top 3 qualifications: ERP experience, Forklift experience, previous purchasing experience
OVERVIEW: This person will have authority to make purchases based on Purchase requests and stock orders approved in our POR system. They will prepare and send out the purchase requests ensuring that all data is accurate and up to date. They will follow up on outstanding orders as needed and keep requesters up to date on statuses. This position backfills our Shipping and Receiving and will be required at times to perform those functions as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & SKILLS:
Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to all the following:
• This person will be responsible for all basic ordering at our client's site. Will manage the SharePoint purchasing list.
• Will be responsible for shop supply ordering.
• Will work with all of our client's team members to make sure orders are completed on time and arrive within the desired requested date.
• Will back fill Shipping and Receiving when necessary.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
DESIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Microsoft Office
ERP experience required
Forklift experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Occasional lifting and carrying will be required.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
40 hour work week.
Must be flexible with schedule to accommodate fixed deadlines sometimes working Saturday and or Sunday
