Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to support our payroll operations. This hybrid role will work out of our Sherman Oaks office 3 days per week and remotely 2 days per week. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with payroll systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process accurate and timely payroll for employees across multiple states.
- Review and verify employee timesheets and ensure proper approvals.
- Manage payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, and benefits deductions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies professionally and promptly.
- Maintain payroll records and generate reports as needed.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of payroll experience.
- Proficient in one or more payroll systems such as Ceridian, Paylocity, Paycom, Workday, or similar.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
Preferred:
- Experience in the restaurant industry or hospitality sector is a plus.
