Position Summary:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of operating systems, software, and related infrastructure. This role ensures system reliability, performance, and security by troubleshooting issues, implementing upgrades, and managing backups and recoveries. The Systems Administrator also provides technical support, recommends improvements, and assists in the planning and execution of system enhancements. Collaboration with teams to establish operational standards and ensure seamless system functionality is a key aspect of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and authentication settings in enterprise identity and access systems.
·Configure and support cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools, ensuring smooth user access and system integration.
·Deploy and configure cloud-based software-as-a-service applications, including user setup, access controls, and integration with existing systems.
·Assemble, configure, and deploy desktop and laptop workstations, including hardware setup, operating system installation, and software configuration.
·Execute user profile migrations and system configuration updates, preserving data integrity and minimizing user downtime.
·Troubleshoot and resolve issues with operating systems, network connectivity, and software applications.
·Perform system migrations, including testing, deployment, and transitioning from legacy to modern environments.
·Provide hands-on technical support to end users, resolving issues quickly and documenting fixes.
·Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
·3 or more years of systems administration experience is required.
·Experience with communication platforms to coordinate with teams and provide user support (Slack, Teams, Asana, etc.).
·Proficiency in using issue tracking systems to log, monitor, and resolve technical incidents.
·Proficiency in project management tools to track tasks and coordinate project deliverables.
