Job Description:

As a Billing Specialist, you will support the organization’s revenue operations through accurate and timely insurance claims processing, A/R follow-up, and system transitions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a mission-based team as they re-structure their finance department into a full revenue cycle function under new leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform insurance billing and A/R follow-up, focusing on claim types such as Medicaid, self-pay, and commercial insurance.
Analyze and resolve denials and discrepancies using EOBs and internal resources.
Enter and maintain billing information in multiple systems, including Salesforce and transitioning platforms like Core Solutions.
Support day-to-day operations with flexibility depending on individual skill set (e.g., handling calls if comfortable).
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing processes as part of a broader revenue cycle transformation.
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all billing-related documentation and follow-ups.

Qualifications:

1–2 years of experience in healthcare A/R follow-up or medical billing
Strong understanding of EOBs (Explanation of Benefits)
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with practice management systems preferred (training provided)
Team-player mentality with a willingness to learn and adapt
Background check and drug test required prior to start
