Pay Rate Range:$28.84 - $33.65/hour (depending on experience)

Overview:
We’re seeking a motivated and hands-on Security Administrator to join our IT team. This is a great opportunity for someone with foundational cybersecurity experience who is ready to grow into a broader security role. The ideal candidate will be passionate about protecting systems, curious about evolving threats, and comfortable supporting day-to-day security operations in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying and mitigating phishing attempts and suspicious email activity
- Support a Security Operations Center (SOC) team by monitoring and escalating incidents
- Participate in basic penetration testing and vulnerability scanning
- Help configure and maintain Palo Alto firewalls
- Use endpoint protection tools such as Cortex or CrowdStrike to monitor and respond to threats
- Assist with automation and patch management using tools like PDQ and Automate
- Perform routine network troubleshooting and support
- Write or maintain simple scripts (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) for system tasks and reporting
- Document processes and contribute to security awareness initiatives
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in IT security, systems administration, or technical support with a focus on security
- Familiarity with phishing mitigation and basic SOC workflows
- Exposure to firewalls (preferably Palo Alto) and endpoint protection tools
- Basic understanding of networking and scripting
- Comfortable working with PDQ, Automate, or similar tools
- Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and willingness to learn
- Certifications like CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Palo Alto PCNSA are a plus
