This particular opportunity supports their Transplant Clinic, a busy and fast-paced unit providing critical services to patients in need of organ transplantation.
Job Description:
The Medical Assistant will support the Transplant Clinic by performing patient triage, assisting providers, and managing clinical operations such as medication refills and prior authorizations. The ideal candidate will be dependable, communicative, and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage up to 20–25 patients per day
- Provide clinical support to healthcare providers
- Manage medication refill requests and prior authorizations
- Ensure patient care adheres to safety and compliance standards
- Support general administrative and clinical flow of the transplant clinic
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting (Required)
- EMR experience, preferably with MedConnect or Powerchart (Preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must be mature, reliable, a team player, and able to work independently
- References required for attendance and punctuality
- Must be willing to obtain MA certification within one year if hired permanently
Additional Details:
- Type: Contract (6 months to 1 year)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (No weekends)
- Parking/Transport: Free off-site parking with a shuttle to the hospital (5–10 mins)
- Background Check: Required
- Clinicals/N95 Mask Fit: Required
- Vaccination Requirement: COVID-19 and Flu vaccine required (No exceptions)
