Project Overview:
A global pharma powerhouse is rapidly scaling its operations at its $12BN flagship facility in Indianapolis, the largest site in its global network. As part of an accelerated ramp-up, we’re hiring a contract Construction Manager (Electrical, High Voltage) to lead night shift operations across mission-critical electrical infrastructure.
This is a freelance-style engagement for those who thrive in high-paced environments and are ready to hit the ground running during off-hours, when the site comes alive with essential overnight construction activity.
Scope of Work:

Lead all night shift high-voltage electrical construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards are met across the board.

Act as the primary point of contact on-site during the night, representing the owner and ensuring smooth coordination between trades.

Oversee installation and integration of MV/HV systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS, and emergency power infrastructure.

Maintain strict adherence to GMP, NEC, OSHA, and site-specific safety standards.

Work closely with day-shift teams to ensure clear handovers, continuity, and progress tracking.

Support troubleshooting, site logistics, material readiness, and coordination with QA/QC and commissioning teams.
Ideal Background:
-
7+ years in electrical construction management, with a focus on high-voltage systems in industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or datacenter projects.

Night shift or 24/7 construction experience is strongly preferred.

Strong field leadership with an ability to make decisions and drive performance during non-standard hours.

Familiar with regulated environments and large-scale construction protocols.

Self-sufficient, solution-oriented, and able to manage multiple subcontractors and scopes in parallel.
