GIS Solutions Architect - ArcGIS

A leading technology strong professional services company seek an experienced GIS Solutions Architect - ArcGIS to form part of the Operational Asset Management delivery programme that is refreshing the companies Work and Asset Management capabilities. They are replacing its Legacy Work and Asset Management applications with IBM Maximo (Maximo Application Suite) and ESRI ArcGIS.
The role will help the business migrate from Legacy systems, understand how these systems will be decommissioned following migration. The business has an expectation that once they are operating on the new platforms the architect will help them deploy additional platform features to allow them to automate more of the work and asset management function and leverage the capabilities of the mew platforms that are being deployed.
Duties & Responsibilities for the GIS Solutions Architect - ArcGIS, position:
General:
- Works closely with the Domain Architect to understand the technology roadmaps to meet business needs (as well as understanding the businesses guidelines, standards and principles to work within).
- Works closely with the Domain Architect to shape initiatives, options analysis, and estimates before initiatives become Work and Asset Management workstreams.
ArcGIS Delivery Architect:
- Take ownership of the design process to implement new capabilities on the ESRI ArcGIS.
- Producing design documentation to a high standard. Owning the design through the delivery life cycle.
- Demonstrate a good feature and technical knowledge of the ESRI ArcGIS Platform acting as a trusted advisor to both the delivery team and business stakeholders.
- Design documents; Solution Blueprint; High Level Design, Component specifications whether the direction has already been defined.
- Presenting designs to Architectural Peers, OAM Delivery team and business Subject Matter Experts.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Engage with senior business stakeholders, translating requirements into architectural solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Collaborate with vendors, partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of solutions.
Required knowledge & experience for the GIS Solutions Architect - ArcGIS, position:
- Demonstrate 5 years of experience in architecture roles, with a focus on solution architecture.
- Demonstrate 3 years of working in the Work and Asset Management Architect space either as a solution architect or a Subject Matter Expert.
- Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise with ESRI ArcGIS.
- Ideally demonstrate experience working with IBM Maximo (MAS).
- Ideally demonstrate experience of working in a Utility or Capital-intensive Business.
- Good communication and presentation skills. The designs that are produced need to disseminate for acceptance and agreement.
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of influencing and managing senior-level relationships.
- Knowledge of architecture frameworks, standards, and methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage risks, issues, and dependencies in a complex delivery environment.
