Role: IT Project Manager - SAP S/4HANA
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (onsite)
Pay Range:$100,000 - $160,000 / year depending on experience.
**Onsite requirement -Must be authorized to work in the United States now, and in the future, without assistance.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the migration of SAP from on-premise to SAP S/4HANA. This role will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle — from strategy through execution — while working closely with both internal stakeholders across departments and a third-party consulting partner engaged to support the implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the SAP S/4HANA cloud migration, transitioning from a legacy on-premise environment.
- Serve as the central point of contact across internal IT teams, business units, and external consulting firms to ensure alignment and accountability throughout the project.
- Help define project scope, objectives, milestones, and success criteria in collaboration with company leadership and vendor partners.
- Manage project governance, timelines, budgets, risk mitigation, resource allocation, and reporting.
- Oversee data migration efforts, integration planning, and cutover execution in partnership with SAP and third-party consultants.
- Coordinate testing efforts (SIT/UAT), change management, and go-live readiness with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure alignment with company security policies, compliance standards, and long-term IT roadmap.
- Provide regular status updates, facilitate steering committee meetings, and resolve project issues proactively.
- Promote user adoption through training coordination, stakeholder engagement, and strong communication planning.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of IT Project Management experience with enterprise systems.
- Proven experience managing SAP S/4HANA implementations and migrations.
- Demonstrated success leading projects that involve coordination between internal teams and external consulting partners or system integrators.
- Strong understanding of SAP ECC to S/4HANA transition paths, with emphasis on business impact and continuity.
- Knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and PM.
- Experience working in or supporting Oil & Gas, Energy, or industrial environments.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools including Microsoft Project and Azure DevOps (or equivalent).
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) as part of a RISE with SAP deployment.
- Familiarity with integration of SAP with systems like Workday, Salesforce, Maximo, or other industry-specific tools.
- Exposure to compliance, audit, and operational continuity considerations in cloud ERP migrations.
- Background in business process optimization and organizational change management during large-scale ERP initiatives.
- Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, ITIL, Agile, or Scrum are a plus.
