We re on the lookout for a proactive, detail-driven Finance Assistant to join our clients growing in-house Accounts team on a 12-18 month fixed term contract. You ll be working alongside the Finance Operations Manager to ensure delivery is smooth, compliant, and efficient financial services that underpin the teams' success.

What You ll Be Doing: - Managing the purchase ledger and ensuring timely, accurate payments.
- Processing cheques, BACS and CHAPS payments, and reconciling bank transactions.
- Posting financial transactions including invoices, disbursements, and client account transfers.
- Administering staff expense claims and petty cash records.
- Supporting credit control and fee earners with financial updates.
- End-of-day cash balancing and producing reconciliations and reports.
- Providing holiday/sickness cover across the finance team.
- Getting involved in improving processes and supporting wider firm initiatives.
What You ll Bring: - Previous experience in an accounts/finance role (legal sector experience is a bonus, not a must!).
- Confident using financial software and MS Excel (PivotTables/VLOOKUPs/ E3 Elite ideally).
- Excellent communication and organisation skills - you keep things running smoothly.
- A team player with a "can-do" mindset and attention to detail that others rely on.
- Comfortable working in a high-paced environment and managing multiple deadlines.
