Job Description

Oversee financial reporting and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
Supervise the preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements.
Lead and support the financial accounting team in daily operations.
Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
Preparing and submitting internal and external periodic financial reporting to stakeholders
Preparing periodic VAT returns and management of the relationship with HMRC
Supporting the preparation of Corporation and Deferred Tax calculations - on a periodic basis
Providing board and management accounts information and variance analysis - on balance sheet, cash flow and debtor movements

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Head of Financial Accounting should have:

Professional qualifications in accounting or finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Strong experience in financial reporting and statutory accounts preparation.
Knowledge of regulatory and tax compliance within the UK.
Proven leadership skills in managing accounting teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

What's on Offer

Competitive daily rate of approximately £450 - £600 per day
