This role focuses on business unit controlling (management accounting) activities within a manufacturing or commercial environment. The work is varied, combining both recurring and ad-hoc tasks, with opportunities for process improvement and project-based contributions. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, the ability to challenge operational performance, and provide financial insight to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive the annual budget and quarterly forecast process across all business units, ensuring alignment with company financial objectives.
• Collaborate with business and operational managers to identify and propose improvement projects for inclusion in the budget, validating financial data such as project sizing, business cases, and ROI for decision-making.
• Provide timely and robust financial reporting to both local and central teams, highlighting performance against targets and identifying potential financial risks early.
• Actively challenge operational performance and support management in achieving financial targets by identifying improvement measures and mitigation plans.
• Assess business cases for operational investments and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring robust financial evaluation and challenge of assumptions.
• Carry out financial controlling activities, including recurring costs, inventory, non-recurring costs, and Capex Jigs/Tools (as required).
Required Experience:
• Qualified Accountant (CIMA preferred) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience within a manufacturing or commercial setting.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP or similar financial reporting systems.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across various levels and countries.
• Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on process efficiency and financial accuracy.
