Job Description:
We are hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinic operations during a medical leave. This is a 6-month contract role focused on front-office administrative and clinical support. While this position is temporary, high-performing candidates may be considered for full-time hire should a vacancy arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth patient flow by managing scheduling and preparing exam rooms
- Record vital signs and patient history accurately in the electronic health record (Epic)
- Guide patients through check-in and appointment prep processes
- Assist with administrative tasks such as FMLA forms, prior authorizations, and documentation
- Collaborate with other MAs and clinic staff to support daily operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment
- Provide professional, compassionate patient interaction under provider direction
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager
Qualifications:
Required:
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
- 2+ years of experience in a medical assistant role
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable job history with at least 6 months in recent roles
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Experience in outpatient or specialty care settings
Additional Details:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Bonus: $500 completion bonus after 6 months
