A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Facilities Engineer. Position Type: Full time Contract, Temp to direct
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Van Nuys, CA As a Facilities Engineer, you will be:
• Plans, designs and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, construction and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
• Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions and guidelines, required completion schedule, and execution feasibility.
• Coordinates with architecture and engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
• Prepares bid sheets, project justification, statement of work documents and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
• Responsible for managing approved budgets and approving contracts and purchases.
• Oversee the construction and installation to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, cost and schedule.
• Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.
• Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.
• Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
• Make moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.
• Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
• Responsible for OSHA & Safety for all facility operations working in coordination with EHS teammates.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs (CMMS). An Ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior working experience In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• 8-10 years of Facilities Engineering experience.
• 3 years in a Facilities leadership/Management role.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs (CMMS). • Progressive experience in Facilities leadership
