We are supporting a leading player in the aviation sector, known for engineering high-performance cabin solutions, in hiring a Systems Engineer to join their Cabin Interiors division. This is a full-time, high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of system integration, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
As a Systems Engineer, you will lead the development and integration of complex seat systems, ensuring compliance, performance, and passenger experience at every step. This role combines system-level engineering expertise with elements of project and team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the systems engineering activities related to premium aircraft seating systems, including electrical components, actuators, and IFE/power integration.
- Capture and validate stakeholder requirements and ensure traceability across the development lifecycle.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary teams and manage engineering deliverables aligned with project milestones.
- Develop and maintain product specifications and verification strategies in collaboration with internal teams and external customers.
- Oversee and support test planning, execution, and documentation in accordance with DO-160 and other relevant standards.
- Drive compliance efforts with regulatory bodies (EASA/FAA), OEMs (Airbus, Boeing), and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality and functional compliance of subsystems and components.
- Manage engineering changes (ECP/MCP), support NPI projects, and contribute to the overall design validation process.
- Facilitate design risk assessments such as FMEA and support safety and reliability documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in aerospace systems engineering, ideally within cabin interiors or seating systems.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft seat architecture, including motorized components, recline systems, and in-seat power/IFE.
- Familiarity with certification standards such as DO-160, ARP4754A, TSO C127/C127a.
- Hands-on experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion).
- Solid understanding of system verification, validation, and traceability methodologies.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and French (both written and spoken).
- Knowledge of lean principles and design for manufacturability is a plus.
- Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML is desirable.
