Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an Space Force - Senior Advanced Systems Engineer - Tracking Systems Engineer position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, Senior Advanced Systems Engineer - Tracking Systems Engineer for the SDA GMI program, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system. To be considered, you have a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred. Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Contract: 12-24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $88.45 / hour Contract W2
Schedule: Onsite / Hybrid
Clearance: Top Secret obtainable / preferred Make the world's most advanced SDA O&I/GMI even smarter by supporting the SDA team as an PWSA Enterprise Level Engineer, GMI PWSA Enterprise description below: The Ground Management and Integration (GMI) program is a part of the PWSA program and is a continuation of the Ground Segment work that General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is performing on the Tranche 1 (T1) Operations and Integration (O&I) program. Work on the PWSA program occurs at three levels: Enterprise, GS, and GMI. The Enterprise level, comprises Ground Segment (GS), Space Segment (SS), and User Segment (which includes mission systems) work and is tranche agnostic. The Ground Segment level, comprises our ground development and integration responsibilities such as SUPERNOVAs, NOVAs, ground entry points (GEP), and associated ground networks. It started at T1 with the O&I program, carries on in T2 with the GMI program, and will continue in T3 and beyond. The GMI level, is work on T2 SUPERNOVAs and T2 GEPS. ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer - Tracking Systems Engineer for the SDA GMI program, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system. • Ground system design or scheduling knowledge
• Tracking mission design knowledge
• Satellite communications knowledge
• Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
• System/Software design for cloud-based microservice architecture
Preferred Experience: Technical Background:
• Systems Engineering: Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior with emphasis on:
• Software/Systems engineering: Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design.
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as, CAMEO or MagicDraw.
• Programming and Tools Skills: Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling.
• Cloud Computing: Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment.
• Simulation and Modeling: Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications a plus
Key responsibilities:
• Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and other key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline.
• Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases
• Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meet system mission needs.
