Overview The Senior Software Engineer- SAP FICO applies system solutions to business requirements through the design, configuration and deployment of SAP ECC and S/4 Hana FICO and integrated applications. This position requires a thorough understanding of business processes and the ability to design, configure, and deploy solutions to support them. The Senior Software Engineer interacts with multiple Functional Business Teams, vendors, and IT members supporting SAP ECC and S/4 Hana FICO as well as other integrated systems. As part of their role, The Senior Solution Analyst is also responsible for preparing functional specifications, designing, configuring, and supporting SAP ECC and S/4 Hana FICO modules. This position is also responsible for assisting experts with gap analysis, process definition, systems enhancements and is expected to provide a high level of service for break-fix incidents and requests.
The role requires an individual with proven business acumen and enterprise technology experience with SAP ECC and S/4 Hana FICO
Experience in configuring the SAP ECC FICO system to deliver business functionality is required.
Primary Responsibilities - Maintain a working knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4 Hana FICO Modules
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities for SAP ECC and S/4 Hana FICO Modules
- Serve as liaison between Divisions/Functions and IT on projects and enhancements
- Responsible for data migration, archiving and reconciliation as needed
- Work on multiple tasks or projects that are categorized as medium size complexity
- Collect and evaluate information, formulate as well as test hypothesis.
- Coordinate issues resolution activities with varied stakeholders
- Ensure to follow up on problems and process independently
- Prepare functional specifications, user-guides, and assist with business requirements documentation
- Determine opportunities to redesign or automate business processes and functions to achieve business results
- Drive the development of business and technical process documentation and training materials
- Assist the Quality Assurance Team with testing, strategy and planning
- Communication of systems and procedural changes to end users through excellent written and oral communications
- Provide end-user training / increase end user proficiency and adoption of implemented solutions
- Understand, communicate and reinforce standard business process concepts and methodology
- Establish and maintain relationships with team members within IT and across functional teams
- Assess situations, determine the problem(s) and propose a solution that provides value to the business
- Proactively scan for and resolve any system-related issues that could impact end-user experience, data integrity, or overall end-to-end system functionality.
- Willingness to cross-train across other SAP ECC and S/4 Hana FICO application areas and/or other employee-facing products that integrate with the SAP ECC and S/4 Hana FICO suite.
- Deliver new business systems solutions by executing projects from end-to-end and support post GO-LIVE
Additional Primary Responsibilities - Develop high-quality code using a disciplined and structured development process.
- Design, develop, and rigorously test assigned software components, following established development methodologies.
- Implement automated testing and integrate best practices within CI/CD pipelines to enhance software quality and delivery speed.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality assurance, incorporating feedback into development artifacts and practices.
- Provide ongoing Use DevOps and Agile processes to deliver desired functionality quickly and effectively while iterating to continue development.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Typically, 3 - 5 years of experience SAP application solutioning and deployment as a developer, programmer, software engineer, or other relevant
- Minimum of 4 years' experience implementing the SAP ECC and S/4 Hana FICO offering
- Experience with at least two full Life-Cycle Implementations of SAP ECC and S/4 Hana FICO modules
- Self-motivating with a strong customer focus, and a high sense of urgency
- Subject matter expertise in multiple SAP ECC and S/4 Hana FICO modules
- Capability to understand SGWS application portfolio and how the different systems contribute to daily business operations
