Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: London
Salary/Rate: £300 outside IR35
Start Date: September

An exciting opportunity for a detail-focused Data Analyst to support data cleansing, reconciliation, and template creation within a finance function. The ideal candidate will be an Advanced Excel user with experience working with Oracle ERP financial data or similar ERP systems. Familiarity with Oracle ERP and its financial data structures will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleanse, transform, and validate financial data extracted from Oracle ERP and other sources
Perform detailed reconciliation of data between Oracle ERP and other finance systems or spreadsheets
Design, develop, and maintain Excel-based templates for data entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting
Collaborate closely with finance teams to identify and resolve data discrepancies within Oracle ERP datasets
Assist in documenting data processes, reconciliation procedures, and template usage guidelines
Implement data quality checks and controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of Oracle ERP financial data
Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests leveraging Oracle ERP and Excel data

Essential Skills & Experience:

Advanced Excel skills
Data validation and automation (macros/VBA preferred)
Experience working with Oracle ERP financial data extraction, analysis, or reconciliation
Strong understanding of financial data structures such as GL, AR/AP, subledgers, trial balances
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Desirable Skills:

Experience designing templates or automated workflows for Oracle ERP data
Basic knowledge of SQL or scripting for data manipulation
Familiarity with accounting principles and finance operations
