The Planet Group is seeking an
Affiliate Marketing Manager to join one of our well-known global pharmaceutical clients.
- Location: Remote but ideally would be based in CA or NYC
- Pay: $62-$64/hr depending on experience
- Duration: 1-2 years - based on performance and business needs
Affiliate Marketing Manager Responsibilities:
- Own affiliate channel management, including our program activation and publisher development strategies in coordination with the rest of our paid, owned, and earned strategies.
- Stay current on emerging affiliate marketing industry trends to evaluate new network opportunities, management approaches, publisher models, or technologies that can deliver incremental growth.
- Act as the main contact for agency, network, and publisher relationships, including invoicing and payment, fraud cross-checks, inquiry and application management, and tactical execution.
- Identify, nurture, and negotiate key affiliate partnerships while building a pipeline of future opportunities.
- Obsessively monitor program KPIs and proactively identify growth opportunities, limitations or anomalies while optimizing campaign performance for maximum ROI.
- Build and present opportunity briefs, performance readouts, and insights that allow you to deliver on our strategy.
- Plan and troubleshoot technology/analytics integrations with internal and external partners and support on experimentation and incrementality testing, data integrations, analytics processes, and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Brand, E-Comm, Marketing Analytics, MarTech, and PR to increase the impact of our affiliate program.
Affiliate Marketing Manager Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in managing and executing a performance-based affiliate marketing program across content publishers, traditional affiliate publishers, and influencer/partnership programs. Experience building a program from scratch is a bonus.
- Experience in the beauty/skincare industry. E-commerce experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in affiliate networks (i.e. Rakuten, ShareASale, Impact, CJ, Pepperjam etc.)
- Experience producing and reporting out on performance summaries and program updates to senior leaders.
- Extensive knowledge of analytics/reporting tools and methodologies (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.) and the ability to analyze large complex datasets to interpret and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with incrementality, A/B, and multivariate testing.
- Strong experience with content marketing and the instinct to stay on top of trends and understand what has stopping power, what holds attention, and what drives action.
- Strong understanding of performance marketing, online customer acquisition journeys, and conversion funnels.
- Must have a “no task is too small” mentality and the ability to thrive within a fast-paced startup environment, balance competing priorities, while creating structure and processes.
- Self-starting, inquisitive, and persistent in getting to the root cause and moving forward with next steps within ambiguity.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or closely related field.
- (nice to have) Experience with influencer marketing and TikTok Shop and IG Shop, identifying, negotiating, and collaborating with influencers to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
