Quotation Analyst Attention: This job is on-site; any out-of-state applicants with "will not relocate" in their summary will not be considered. This job is for quoting materials for production, and must have experience with electronic components and suppliers. Electronic buyer experience is a plus. This is not a systems analyst position. SUMMARY Responsible for providing material quotes for sales, following the best established practices. This position is also responsible for general support to Sales, Materials, and Quality, as required. The Quotation Analyst reports directly to the Sales Manager. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Generating and following up on vendor quotes: Interfacing with vendors to request quotes, processing responses, and tracking the status of outstanding proposals. Analyzing cost and pricing data: Comparing bids, evaluating pricing models, and analyzing market trends to ensure the best possible value for the organization. Supporting supplier relationships: Maintaining effective communication with suppliers, addressing issues, and assisting in vendor management activities. Collaboration with internal departments: Working closely with sales, engineering, and other teams to understand procurement needs and ensure quotes align with project requirements and budget goals. Maintaining accurate records: Keeping meticulous records of purchases, pricing agreements, and supplier information. Assisting in procurement strategies: Contributing to developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, including sourcing new products and vendors. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED Communication and interpersonal skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are vital for effective interaction with both internal stakeholders and external vendors. Analytical skills: The ability to evaluate data, analyze market trends, compare quotes, and make informed purchasing decisions. Negotiation skills: Resourcefulness in negotiating favorable terms and prices with suppliers. Organizational and time management skills: Managing multiple tasks, prioritizing responsibilities, and meeting deadlines. Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in documentation, compliance with procedures, and adherence to quality standards. Software proficiency: It is beneficial to have familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems like SAP, and strong skills in spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of the industry and products: Consumer Electronics WORKING CONDITIONS Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require weekends and evenings. This is a full-time hourly position, which includes associated benefits, including health insurance at a reduced rate. The starting hourly rate is $25-$30, based on experience.
