Overview

The Fulfilment Network Planning Team (FNP) of the Amazon Japan Operation is looking for Program Managers. Amazon conducts business with "the richest product selection on the planet" and "being the company that values customers the most on the planet." The customer experience provided by Amazon has the three pillars of product lineup, low price, and convenience, and we are expanding our business by realizing these customer experiences through continuous improvement activities and the creation of innovations. FNP is a central team launched in 2021 to lead the rapid expansion of Amazon's logistics network. We have more than 100 locations, including the Fulfilment Center (FC) and External Fulfilment (EF), which are the cornerstones of the Operation business.

The Program Manager for this position will be responsible for Labor Planning and Execution for the entire FC Network in Japan. It is expected that the Program Manager will be able to constructively reject existing processes and propose and implement a system that can achieve all of the goals of scale, accuracy and productivity. We expect the Program Manager to have strong analytical skills based on data and logic, as well as strong leadership skills for internal and external stakeholders.

The position's Program Manager will be responsible for labor planning and execution across Japan's FC network. The Program Manager is expected to be able to constructively challenge existing processes and propose and implement systems that achieve scale, accuracy, and productivity goals. Strong data- and logic-based analytical skills and leadership for internal and external stakeholders are expected.

Key job responsibilities

Reduce operating costs for short-term (3 months), medium-term (6 months), and long-term (1-3 years) periods.
Construction and improvement of a labor cost management structure that can achieve both the expansion of the overall scale of the JPFC Network and cost reduction.
Alignment with global standards in labor cost management.
Appropriate localization of global best practices in Japan.
Expansion of successful practices in Japan overseas.

About the team

This position works as a member of the PPT (Production Planning Team) within Amazon Japan's FNP team. Our team handles a wide range of tasks from short to long term ranges to operate the expanding Operation Network more efficiently, making improvements daily to deliver a broad product selection, sufficient inventory, and fast delivery to customers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or higher
Business Level Japanese proficiency
Business Level English proficiency
MS Excel advanced level (data visualization using functions, Pivot Table, Power Query, VBA experience)
Over 3 years of international project management experience involving various challenges
Experience managing more than 10 stakeholders in a project
Over 3 years of process improvement experience using data/metrics

Japanese equivalents: 学士号以上; 日本語: ビジネスレベル問題点の特定解決策の議論など複雑な会話ができる ; 英語: ビジネスレベル; MS Excel上級レベル関数を使用したデタの可視化ピボットテブル Power Query VBAの経験 ; さまざまな課題を含む国際的なプロジェクト管理経験3年以上; 担当プロジェクトにおける10名を超えるステクホルダのマネジメント経験; デタ/指標を使用したプロセス改善経験3年以上

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience reporting results to senior management on an ongoing basis
Experience managing stakeholders at various levels
Experience implementing improvements that involve changing systems in order to increase efficiency throughout the organization
Experience introducing and operating new management tools in production management and human resource management
Experience creating or planning reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau
A positive attitude towards contributing to a comprehensive corporate culture and working with diverse groups
