Job Title: Third-Party Risk Analyst
Location: Fully Remote (U.S. only)
Hourly Pay Rate: W2 with benefits: up to $60/hr
Contract Duration: 3 months (high likelihood of extension based on project performance)
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), 9 AM – 6 PM EST (1-hour lunch)
Introduction
We are seeking a Third-Party Risk Analyst to support a Governance, Risk, and Compliance program. This role is designed for a detail-oriented and analytical professional with experience in assessing vendor risks, reviewing compliance standards, and partnering with business, procurement, and legal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in vendor risk management and be highly skilled at identifying and communicating risks in a clear, actionable manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience performing third-party/vendor risk assessments
- Strong project coordination and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and documentation abilities
- Understanding of cloud technologies and compliance certifications (ISO, SOC, CSA, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (no sponsorship available)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of third-party risk management best practices
- Hands-on experience with vendor risk management platforms (Process Unity or similar tools)
- High-level understanding of data privacy and information security principles
- Experience reviewing third-party contracts for security and compliance standards
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Coordinate with stakeholders to initiate and manage third-party review requests
- Collect and assess vendor documentation and questionnaires for risk evaluation
- Identify information security, privacy, and compliance risks and ensure remediation steps are addressed
- Confirm third-party agreements meet established security and privacy requirements
- Conduct background checks and highlight potential concerns related to vendor engagement
- Create clear review summaries for business, procurement, and legal teams
- Collaborate with the risk manager to escalate issues and track statuses
- Meet service-level agreements (SLAs) for timely review completion
