Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrols Full-Time in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a dynamic retail location. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed position, requiring you to uphold the highest standards of professionalism while supporting a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence. Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behaviors. Maintain accurate and detailed records of observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific policies. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters. Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws while performing assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess Level III armed certification if required by Texas law. A guard card or license is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
