Job Description As a Armed Security Professional - Government Facility in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and professional demeanor will support a welcoming atmosphere while you respond to incidents and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence. Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related protocols for government facilities. Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel. Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and credentials as required by site-specific policies. Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles. Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations. Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Possess a California weapons permit with 9mm caliber endorsement. Must be at least 21 years of age. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
