Exciting contract Solutions Architect opportunity with an established firm. This is a hybrid role local to either Rancho Cordova, CA or Sacramento, CA.
The Solutions Architect will be responsible for maintaining, scaling, and evolving our Azure-based technology ecosystem. This role will serve as the technical lead for new practice launches ensuring all systems, integrations, and infrastructure components are deployed consistently, securely, and efficiently.
You will collaborate with IT operations, vendors, and business stakeholders to align technology capabilities with the operational needs of each location, driving automation and standardization across the organization.
Contract Duration: 6-Months
Required Skills & Experience - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, or Senior Systems Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including compute, networking, storage, identity, and automation services.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code.
- Proficiency in monitoring and alerting solutions.
Desired Skills & Experience - Experience with practice management or healthcare IT systems.
- Knowledge of Epic or other Healthcare Records Management software is a plus, including PACS or other medical image management software.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and other healthcare data protection practices, including PCI.
- Experience supporting multi-site deployments.
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven ability to learn/adapt quickly to new technologies.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
- Platform Ownership: Oversee the design, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the Azure-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Replication & Deployment: Develop repeatable, automated processes for deploying infrastructure, applications, and integrations at new practice locations.
- Systems Integration: Manage and evolve integrations between core systems.
- System Maintenance & Optimization: Ensure the uptime, security, and performance of our Azure cloud platform and associated systems, including Networking.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Design, maintain and enhance observability across systems.
- Scalability & Growth: Plan for capacity and performance as new practices are added; ensure the platform architecture supports seamless scaling.
- Security & Compliance: Partner with IT and compliance teams to ensure adherence to HIPAA, PCI and other data protection regulations and requirements.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with software vendors, MSPs, and implementation partners for new deployments and ongoing support.
- Documentation & Standards: Maintain architecture documentation, deployment guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve performance, cost efficiency, and automation throughout the environment.
