BI & Fabric Developer - Outside IR35 - Hybrid

The Senior BI Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable Business Intelligence (BI) solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric and the broader Microsoft data ecosystem. This role is responsible for delivering a modern, secure, and high-performing Azure-based data platform that enables high-quality reporting, analytics, and business insight across the Group.

The successful candidate will:

• Design and develop scalable BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric

• Build and manage data pipelines using OneLake, Dataflow Gen2, and Azure Data Factory

• Develop semantic models in Microsoft Power BI and integrate with DirectLake or Warehouse datasets

• Work closely with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver impactful insights

• Optimise data models for performance, scalability, and reusability

• Support governance, security, and compliance best practices within a modern data platform environment

• Design and deliver a scalable Azure data platform for the Group, including Data Warehouses and reporting/visualisation tools

• Ensure the Group's data platform is fit for purpose and aligned with future strategic growth

• Develop and provide technical support across a modern Microsoft data stack, including:

  • Azure Synapse Analytics

  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

  • SQL-based database technologies

  • Data Lake architectures

• Educated to degree or postgraduate level in a relevant discipline

• Extensive expertise in:

  • Database technologies (e.g., SQL)

  • Reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI)

• • Cloud platforms and Microsoft data technologies

• Strong experience across the Microsoft landscape (Power BI, Fabric, Synapse)

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Proven ability to design scalable and high-performing data platforms
