Location: Corsham (Primary Location)/Northwood
Contract Length: 6 months

This is a *Corsham/Northwood* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Public Sector organisation working on *Developing and maintaining enterprise architecture models and roadmaps*

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tech & Business Architecture Modeller to join a high-profile programme at the forefront of digital transformation within the defence environment.

You will become part of a specialist core team responsible for helping deliver a pioneering Digital Targeting capability, bringing together technology, data, architecture, policy, standards, and operational expertise. This team is driving a user-centric approach that bridges complex targeting challenges with strategic defence objectives, ensuring innovative capabilities deliver real operational value.

Working alongside senior stakeholders across military commands and international partners, you will play a key role in defining, modelling, and shaping the future architecture that underpins critical defence capabilities.

What You'll Be Working On

As part of the core team, you will contribute to a wide range of strategic initiatives, including:

  • Developing and maintaining enterprise architecture models and roadmaps
  • Supporting the alignment of technology strategy with organisational goals
  • Defining and refining reference architectures
  • Aligning data and integration standards across complex environments
  • Supporting capability development and transformation programmes
  • Contributing to architecture governance and design authority activities
  • Modelling business processes, organisational structures, and information flows
  • Supporting testing, experimentation, and innovation initiatives
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across technical and business domains
  • Identifying opportunities to improve architecture maturity and delivery outcomes

The Role

This is a hands-on architecture modelling position focused on organising, structuring, and enhancing existing architectural information.

You'll work closely with architects, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable architectural models and artefacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse business and technical requirements
  • Create and maintain architecture models using industry best practices
  • Produce clear visual representations of business processes, workflows, and organisational structures
  • Interpret and structure large volumes of architectural information
  • Communicate complex concepts through effective modelling and documentation
  • Ensure alignment with relevant strategies, standards, policies, and frameworks
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple disciplines
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve architecture content and value

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience using ArchiMate
  • Hands-on experience with Bizzdesign Enterprise Studio (essential)
  • Familiarity with TOGAF principles and frameworks
  • Experience developing and maintaining business and technology architecture models
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Collaborative approach with a continuous improvement mentality

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to defence or military environments
  • Understanding of military systems, terminology, or operational processes
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation programmes
