Cedar is currently partnered with a VC-backed Consumer business to secure an Interim Finance Manager, based in London for an initial contract of 4-6 months. This interim role offers a competitive day rate of £400 - £450 and the opportunity to shape the financial operations of a high-growth consumer brand.

Recent investment is enabling them to scale their finance team and expand operational capabilities, providing an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to make a tangible impact.

The Role

As Interim Finance Manager, you will:

  • Lead the month-end reporting process.
  • Manage cashflow, oversee AP & AR, and financial controls to ensure strong governance and risk management.
  • Identify and drive process improvements or automation within the finance function.
  • Collaborate across departments to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Take full responsibility for balance sheet integrity.
  • Oversee VAT control, including preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns, as well as supporting VAT queries or audits.

Your Profile

You will ideally have:

  • A formal accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, preferably within consumer-facing businesses.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Proven track record of financial controls, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and influence a cross-functional team.
  • Availability to begin immediately or at short notice.

Compensation & Benefits
