FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT- 3 MONTH FTC - CAMBRIDGE HEATH - £55k - 60k - STRONG POTENTIAL TO GO PERM

Robert Half are delighted to be assisting an exciting client with their search for a full-time Financial Accountant, for a 3 month FTC, with a strong potential to go permanent, offering up to £60k!

Things to know:

• Job Title: Financial Accountant
• Contract length: 3 months FTC (strong potential to go permanent)
• Location: Cambridge Heath (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH) - expect to be in the office more at the start of the contract
• Salary: £55k - £60k, dependent on experience

Responsibilities:

• Lead the 2025 Group Audit from planning to completion, managing auditors and resolving queries efficiently.
• Prepare clear technical accounting papers and ensure all audit deliverables are met on time.
• Take ownership of balance sheet integrity across all entities.
• Review and post key journals.
• Oversee fixed assets, leases, loans and intercompany accounting.
• Monitor FX and support AP where needed.
• Improve month-end processes and strengthen financial controls.
• Apply strong knowledge of IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
• Manage capex and maintain the fixed asset register (additions, disposals, transfers).
• Handle lease accounting, intangibles and system reconciliations.
• Manage revenue recognition in complex, project-based environments.
• Coordinate statutory and tax compliance across the UK, Australia, Japan, US, France and KSA.
• Oversee VAT/GST/Sales Tax and Corporate Tax filings.
• Work with local advisors to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
• Use NetSuite effectively (highly desirable).
• Enhance reporting accuracy and balance sheet transparency.
• Support ad hoc finance projects in a fast-paced, international environment.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be immediately available.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
• Practice-trained.
• Hands on, team player attitude.
• IFRS 15, 16 and/or 17 experience.
• Group audit experience.
