Interim Financial Controller

Chalk Hill Group are supporting a fast-growth SME, based in Alton, in their search for an Interim Financial Controller on a 3-6 month contract. There will be an expectation to be in the office two days a week, with a degree of flexibility expected depending on requirements.

Pay rate - £350-400 per day. The position will be inside IR35.

Key responsibilities include:

• Full responsibility for financial accounting, month-end close and statutory reporting
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and board packs
• Assisting with the budgeting, forecasting and planning processes
• Cashflow management and balance sheet control
• Embedding and optimising a recently implemented finance system
• Management of the finance team
• Acting as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders and branches across the business

This role would suit:

• A fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• You will be technically strong, comfortable operating in a hands-on environment, and confident providing insight and challenge at senior leadership level
• Commercially focused with an ability to translate financial data into actionable insights to support strategic decision making
• Experience in a growing SME would be beneficial, but is not essential
