Chalk Hill Group are supporting a fast-growth SME, based in Alton, in their search for an Interim Financial Controller on a 3-6 month contract. There will be an expectation to be in the office two days a week, with a degree of flexibility expected depending on requirements.
Pay rate - £350-400 per day. The position will be inside IR35.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full responsibility for financial accounting, month-end close and statutory reporting
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and board packs
- Assisting with the budgeting, forecasting and planning processes
- Cashflow management and balance sheet control
- Embedding and optimising a recently implemented finance system
- Management of the finance team
- Acting as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders and branches across the business
This role would suit:
- A fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- You will be technically strong, comfortable operating in a hands-on environment, and confident providing insight and challenge at senior leadership level
- Commercially focused with an ability to translate financial data into actionable insights to support strategic decision making
- Experience in a growing SME would be beneficial, but is not essential
