Java Developer - multiple roles

£510/day Inside IR-35

Active SC required

Remote with occasional travel to London for client meetings only - expensable

We are looking for experienced fullstack Java Software Engineers to support projects across UK Government and Law Enforcement. You'll work in multidisciplinary teams delivering secure, reliable and scalable systems. The role is hands-on and focused on building high quality software using modern engineering practices.

What you'll do

You'll design, build and maintain Java based microservices, applying test driven development and following established engineering standards. You'll work with technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Postgres, Kafka, Docker, React and AWS. You'll contribute to CI/CD pipelines, ensure non-functional requirements are met and collaborate with colleagues across engineering, analysis and design.

Essential experience

• Java and Spring Boot
• Building and maintaining microservice based systems
• Postgres or other relational SQL databases
• Test-driven development (JUnit, Mockito or similar)
• Docker and containerisation
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar)
• Working in agile, multi-disciplinary teams

Desirable experience

• Kafka
• Liquibase or similar migration tooling
• Swagger/OpenAPI
• Gradle
• React
• TypeScript
