Packet Core Engineer - 12 Months - Remote

You'll take ownership of onboarding and validating cloud-native Packet Core functions, ensuring high performance across a modern 5G environment. You'll be the subject matter expert driving configuration strategy, automation alignment, and end-to-end functional testing. You'll join a long-term programme where your expertise directly influences delivery quality, cloud-native maturity, and engineering capability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead onboarding. configuration. validation of CMM and CMG CNFs on VMware TCA
• Analyse CNF behaviour and define configuration strategies
• Execute E2E testing. functional validation. troubleshooting
• Support automation workflows including Python-based deployments
• Drive best practices. continuous improvement. mentoring of engineering teams

Skills/Must have:

• 8+ years in EPC/5GC Packet Core
• Hands-on deployment experience with CMM and CMG CNFs
• Strong understanding of values.yaml for containerised deployments
• Day0/Day1 config expertise for cloud-native CMM/CMG
• Experience configuring via Netconf/MD-CLI
• Strong packet capture experience using Wireshark/TShark
• Prior CNF onboarding experience on VMware TCA
• Familiarity with Python automation and common CI/CD. config management. test automation tools

• Duration: 12 Months
• Location: Remote
• Day Rate: £400 Per Day - £500 Per Day (Inside IR35)
• Start Date: ASAP
