police force, based in
Warwickshire, which is seeking
experienced Locum Police Lawyers to support their legal services team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced legal professionals with a background in police law to work closely with a reputable force, advising on operational matters and representing the organisation in court.
Role: Police Lawyer
Contract Length: 3 - 6 months
Location: Warwickshire - hybrid
Umbrella Rate: £55-£60ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £48.41-£52.76ph
Key Responsibilities: - Providing operational legal advice to officers and staff across the force.
- Advocacy in the Magistrates' Court and other courts, particularly in relation to preventative orders.
- Supporting legal matters connected to policing operations and regulatory frameworks.
- Where applicable, assisting with matters connected to Professional Standards Department (PSD)
Required Experience (in order of priority): - Operational policing advice and court advocacy experience, particularly relating to preventative orders.
- Professional Standards Department (PSD) experience (desirable where available).
- Other relevant police law experience gained within a police force or similar public sector environment.
Essential Requirements: - Qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Unrestricted right to work in the UK (e.g. British citizenship or indefinite leave to remain).
