We're recruiting for a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team within a Precision Guidance environment. The role requires broad, extensive electronic knowledge across both digital and analogue domains, plus the ability to drive design reviews and take designs through verification into production.
Requirements capture, schematic capture and PCB layout (DxDesigner & Expedition - Siemens EDA)
Circuit simulation
Drive the design review process, collaborating with other engineering functions and manufacturing
Devise and implement design verification tests and supporting documentation to transition designs into production
Design solutions considering product quality, safety, reliability and testability
Present robust engineering solutions at design and peer reviews
Deliver project tasks to statement of work, including cost/timescale constraints
Work with minimal supervision
Mentor/coach junior engineers to build team capability
Support system/sub-system integration and debug
Contribute to engineering process improvement and make technical decisions within own responsibility
Degree (BSc/BEng/MEng/MSc/PhD/EngD) in Electronic Engineering (preferred) or related science (e.g., Physics) with specialisation in electronics
Experience of PCB development tools and process (preferably Siemens EDA)
Specialism in one/more of the following:
High-speed digital design (LVDS, JESD204 and/or Ethernet comms)
FPGA & processor circuit design incl. DDR memory + power/peripheral circuits
Analogue low-noise signal conditioning + ADCs/DACs
Power supply design (low-noise, low-power, compact)
Circuit simulation plus PCB signal & power integrity analysis
DFx experience (design for cost, test, manufacturability)
System/sub-system integration and debug experience
Matlab/Simulink knowledge beneficial
Strong communication and teamworking
