Job Description

Position: Quantity Surveyor (O4) / Senior Quantity Surveyor (O3)
Sector: Water / Infrastructure / Utilities
Framework: Thames Water
Locations: London Infrastructure & Thames Valley (Reading)
Contract Type: Contract

Day Rates (Inclusive of Agency Fees):

  • Senior QS (O3 6+ years experience): Circa £560 per day

  • QS (O4 3+ years experience): Circa £380 per day

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors to join established delivery teams operating across the Thames Water framework.

These roles will support major water and utilities infrastructure projects and require strong commercial management capability within NEC contract environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full commercial management of water/infrastructure projects

  • Administration of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts

  • Management of Early Warnings and Compensation Events

  • Cost forecasting, reporting and CVR production

  • Subcontract procurement and management

  • Change control and variation management

  • Risk identification and commercial mitigation

  • Stakeholder liaison with client, operations and supply chain

  • Support to final account negotiation and close out

Essential Experience
  • Demonstrable experience within water, infrastructure or utilities sectors

  • Experience working on AMP frameworks (highly desirable)

  • Strong NEC contract knowledge and practical application

  • Experience managing subcontract packages

  • Proven ability to deliver accurate cost reporting and forecasting

  • Strong commercial acumen and communication skills

Senior QS (O3) Requirements
  • Minimum 6+ years relevant commercial experience

  • Proven ability to manage projects or large work packages independently

  • Strong stakeholder and client-facing experience

QS (O4) Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years relevant commercial experience

  • Experience supporting infrastructure or utilities projects

  • Solid understanding of NEC processes and commercial controls
