(Automation Tester - SC - hybrid Manchester - 6 months - c£520pday Umbrella)

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Tester to work on a hybrid basis (3 days p/wk) in either Manchester or Newcastle upon Tyne.

You will have current SC clearance ideally or eligible to go through SC clearance.

At this role level, you will:

work closely with software developers to reach a common understanding of the code base and test coverage at unit level

collaborate with analysts to ensure the required business scenarios are covered in the acceptance test scripts

work on both functional and non-functional areas of an application

coach and mentor testers

Communicate with stakeholders within and outside the organisation to coordinate test coverage and schedules

Essential technologies:

Java and Spring Framework

Cucumber for BDD testing

REST APIs

beneficial to be familiar with the following technologies:

Wiremock

Maven

AWS Stack, including secure cloud testing

Automation Testing (Selenium/JMeter/K6)

REST Client (Postman/Insomnia)

GitLab CI

Java (to code Cucumber steps in test framework)

Container environments (eg, Kubernetes)
