THE ROLE

We're recruiting for a Senior Data Engineer with strong Informatica and AWS experience to join a public sector data programme. You'll work within a cross-functional engineering team delivering large-scale data solutions, bringing expertise in cloud data platforms, pipeline development and data quality management.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Hands-on Informatica experience
• Demonstrable data project delivery experience
• AWS (Amazon EMR, S3, Lambda)
• Azure familiarity

DESIRABLE SKILLS

• PySpark/Python and SQL for large-scale batch processing
• Data engineering at scale in government or complex regulated environments
• CI/CD & DevOps: pipelines, IaC (eg Terraform), automated testing and release governance
• Version control with Git/GitLab including branching strategies
• API design and integration for safe, reliable data movement
• Agile ways of working; Jira/Confluence and clear technical documentation
• Data warehousing and modelling (Redshift, dimensional modelling, dbt)
• AWS ecosystem depth: Athena, Redshift, EC2, CloudWatch, IAM
