Transport & Marshalling Lead - Offshore Wind

Rate: £500 - £600 per day (Outside IR35)

An international offshore wind developer is seeking an experienced Transport & Marshalling Lead to join a major UK offshore wind project. This role sits within the project ' s Transport & Installation (T&I) team, with responsibility for leading transport and marshalling scopes related to WTG (Wind Turbine Generators) , Jackets , and Offshore Substation Platforms (OSP) .

This is a key technical position with high visibility across the project lifecycle, from early engineering and contractor engagement to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the technical lead for jacket and topside transport and marshalling scopes.
Coordinate logistics strategies with fabrication yards, ports, and T&I contractors.
Support tender evaluation, contractor selection, and execution management.
Oversee marshalling yard activities: receipt, inspection, storage, load-in/load-out.
Align vessel schedules and port calls with overall project installation plans.
Ensure compliance with HSE, lifting, handling, and marine transport standards.
Liaise with internal workstreams and stakeholders to manage interfaces and handovers.
Provide input into transport procedures, method statements, and project documentation.
Report to the T&I Work Package Manager and collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and marine teams.

Requirements:

10+ years ' experience in offshore construction and transport/marshalling operations.
Strong background in the handling of large offshore structures such as jackets and topsides.
Proven experience with vessel mobilisation, heavy-lift, and load-in/load-out operations.
Knowledge of seafastening , grillage design, marine coordination, and port logistics.
Skilled in contractor management and multi-stakeholder interface coordination.
Engineering degree (or equivalent); offshore wind or marine energy sector experience preferred.
Comfortable working across multiple locations (office, fabrication yards, ports, offshore).

Contract Details:

Rate: £500 - £600 per day (Outside IR35)
Location: London (3 days/week office presence expected)
Duration: Long-term contract (12 months+)
Start: ASAP (flexible for the right candidate)
