Role Overview

We have partnered with a leading purpose-driven asset manager looking to hire a Junior Quantitative Analyst to join their Centralised Quantitative Modelling team. Reporting to the team lead, this role will be based in the UK and form part of a collaborative, multi-location team responsible for developing and implementing pricing models that underpin the firm’s investment strategies.

The Quantitative Analytics team serves as the methodology hub, developing models for pricing, hedging, and risk management across a range of instruments. This is a unique opportunity for a quantitative professional to contribute to the continued growth of the business, working closely with internal stakeholders to translate complex models into scalable solutions accessible across the firm.

Key Responsibilities
• Model Development & Enhancement: Support the development and refinement of pricing models for instruments such as vanilla options, basket options, interest rate swaps, and inflation-linked bonds. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in model outputs and market data. • New Business Integration: Contribute to the integration of new client requirements by assisting in the pricing and hedging of unfamiliar or novel products as they emerge. • Model Implementation: Assist in translating quantitative models from theoretical frameworks into functional, user-accessible software tools. • Continuous Improvement: Participate in the ongoing enhancement of the firm’s analytics library, including adapting to new methodologies and incorporating additional instruments as business needs evolve. • Internal Consulting: Act as an internal consultant, collaborating with various business teams to troubleshoot model-related issues and ensure alignment between theoretical models and practical application.

Requirements & Qualifications
• Education: A minimum of MSc level degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred. • Experience: 6 months to 2 years of experience in a quantitative role, or a PhD in a relevant field • Technical Skills:
• Familiarity with core quantitative finance concepts, such as pricing model fundamentals. • Coding proficiency, or a strong willingness to develop expertise.
• Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and the flexibility to work across different instruments and evolving business needs.
