Exceptional team looking for a strong markets individual with blend of client-facing and analytical skills to work with Heads of Equities across the market. Also open to those with limited equities but broader experience if at VP level

Over the years this company has batted off attempts by firms such as Oliver Wyman and McKinsey, becoming the market leader for competitor benchmarking services to global markets clients. They work with most of the top banks and many of the tier 2 and 3 businesses.

We are looking for a talented markets individual to help continue to build and run the equities product. This looks at benchmarking data indicators such as revenue, RonE, market share, brand perception and more...it gives clients a granular snapshot of 'where they are at' vs. the competition. You don't necessarily need to be an equities SME for this but some knowledge in equities is an advtantage; broader markets experience might work.

The firm has RMs that 'manage' the relationships with top banks. The research team, where this sits, communicates with the RMs, the operational teams and all the 'Heads of' across industry to help improve the data products, build new ones and offer world-class research on performance-related topics.

This role would suit someone in markets, either in a strategic of operational role e.g. front office sales, client management, strategy, business management... we are looking for someone who really makes a difference to the teams they work in. Here, you will be working with a talented group of largely ex front office bankers from top banking names. This is an intellectual career, right at the forefront of helping banks improve their positioning in the market.

Attributes:

A subject matter expert - ideally Equities content knowledge, but not essential. Must have knowledge or experience of Corporate and Investment Banking markets: trends, Financial Services sector, specific competitors and their strengths; Preferred backgrounds where relevant experience is likely to have been gained are sales, client management, business management, strategy or the markets division of a major consulting firm e.g. if you are an expert across FICC and have a curiosity and passion for the broader markets, this would work well
An ability to work with data - when you need to, able to deep dive into data sets, analyse trends and produce details powerpoints and reports for clients. You will have a team to help with this though there needs to be a level of competence for the individual to do this when needed; we are not looking for modellers/analysts
Entrepreneurial spirit - this role will help develop the product and you will help contribute to the ongoing evolution of Equities activity
Excellent communications skills; to work internally and with clients both analysing their data, communicating results/key messaging and helping improve the performance model

Flexible working with 2-3 days in office.

Base salary 85-125K with average bonus 20-25%; up to 65% for top performance
