Senior Business Project Manager
Contract Duration: 02/06/2025 – 31/05/2026
Rate: 100 CHF/hour
Location: Basel
Relocation: Must be based in Basel or willing to relocate
Language: English (Business Fluent); German (Preferred Business Fluent)

Role Summary Lead the full-cycle implementation of a new global electronic Document Management System (eDMS), impacting over 20,000 users and 25+ manufacturing sites. The role involves coordination with IT and external vendors to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. Key project phases include legacy DMS clean-up, business process finalization, system configuration, integration, migration, testing, validation, training, and go-live.
Responsibilities

Own the full delivery lifecycle of the new eDMS system, including Gantt chart, critical path, budget, and milestones.
Lead cross-functional teams including business analysts and technical consultants.
Ensure alignment and engagement across internal and external stakeholders.
Apply best practices for Veeva eDMS/eQMS implementations.
Manage timelines, project risks, issues, changes, and regulatory compliance.
Develop project plans, define deliverables, track KPIs and provide updates to stakeholders.
Ensure proper documentation (project plans, meeting minutes, reports).
Oversee financial performance, including cost control and reporting.
Conduct and follow up on project workshops, SteerCo, and key status meetings.

Required Experience

Minimum 5–7 years in software project implementation, ideally in a GMP-regulated environment.
Extensive experience with eDMS/eQMS or quality system implementations.
Preferably direct experience with Veeva Systems.
Proven track record managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Formal PM certification and familiarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
Ideally experienced in a CDMO or pharmaceutical/biotech setting.
