Client Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Controller to join our client's dynamic Finance team. They pride themselves on being a leader in technology. Salary/Hourly Rate:

$40/hr - $45/hr

Position Overview:

The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations. This position will involve assisting with the preparation of financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller:

Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Oversee the maintenance of accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Support the Controller in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Mentor and develop junior accounting staff.

Required Experience/Skills for the Assistant Controller:

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a large corporation or public accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
